In 1991, Manny McDonald, President of Express Janitorial sought an entrepreneurial project after interviewing for various jobs. Manny is a college graduate and former four-year soccer player at The Ohio State University. His entrance into the Commercial Cleaning industry was a bit of a fluke – one night, his friend called him, because a cleaning service failed to show up at his place of business. The manager came in at closing time, screaming about the cleaners not showing up because customers expect a clean space. Manny answered the call for help and offered to come out and clean.
From that point on, Manny owned a cleaning business, starting out on his hands and knees cleaning by himself. Soon, he was cleaning many offices and business starting in Downtown Cleveland and soon stretching to the Greater Cleveland area, Akron, and Northeast Ohio. Now, he's a successful commercial cleaning and janitorial services business owner.
Now, Express Janitorial offers janitorial services to all, including many Fortune 500 companies, from Cleveland to Akron. The company’s staff is large and grows bigger every day to accommodate its growing client list, while its revenue also grows each year. Clients from his early days remain with him. In addition, Manny keeps up with industry trends as a member of the Building Services Contractors’ Association International (BSCAI), which has some of the best minds in the industry.
